Senior Technological Site Supervisor – Power Supply

About the role

Hitachi Rail is seeking an enthusiastic, self‑motivated Senior Technological Site Supervisor with deep expertise in power supply. The role is based in downtown Toronto and supports fast‑paced construction and installation projects within the rail sector.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Construction Manager to deliver project construction within schedule, budget, and regulatory constraints.
• Ensure subcontractors submit and implement approved work methods, site‑specific plans, and hazard analyses, recording them in Teamcenter.
• Track subcontractor installation progress, provide weekly status reports, and support invoicing processes.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation actions, and maintain a 2‑week look‑ahead plan and 4‑week forecast.
• Coordinate with internal teams, customers, and subcontractors to keep schedules current and communicate issues promptly.
• Interface with Installation Engineering to secure constructible designs on time.
• Monitor non‑conformances (NCRs) and requests for information (RFIs) to ensure timely resolution.
• Oversee site material inventory, report shortages, and manage material logistics.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of supervisory experience on construction and installation projects.
• Proven ability to direct subcontractors and manage site activities.
• Technical background in electrical wiring, power supply, fiber, conduit/cabling, and excavations.
• Railroad power‑supply experience preferred.
• Flexibility to work rotating day and night shifts.
