Senior Staff Accountant, Assurance

About the role

Join Baker Tilly as a Senior Staff Accountant in Assurance, where you’ll contribute to audit, review, and compilation engagements for a diverse client base. You’ll work alongside a collaborative team that values growth, community impact, and professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, execution, and completion of audit, review, and compilation engagements for large and private‑enterprise clients.
• Supervise junior staff during field assignments, communicate engagement status to managers, and manage overall progress.
• Analyze financial information, accounting processes, and operations; perform account reconciliations and propose adjusting entries.
• Assess risk, controls, operational performance, and compliance with the applicable financial reporting framework.
• Prepare personal, corporate, non‑profit, and charitable tax returns when part of the private‑enterprise team.
• Collaborate with peers and senior management to meet filing deadlines and deliver high‑quality work.

Required profile

• Successful completion of the Common Final Evaluation (CFE) and CPA‑in‑waiting status.
• Three to five years of relevant accounting/audit experience.
• Proven ability to lead junior staff on client deliverables.
• Strong project‑management and organizational skills.
