Senior Software Developer

About the role

Benji Pays is seeking a Senior Software Developer to build and maintain scalable, secure, and compliant web applications that power automated accounts receivable solutions. You will work on real problems that directly impact customers' financial operations and help shape the future of fintech.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable, secure and compliant web applications and supporting services using Node.js, Express, EJS, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, MongoDB.
• Take ownership of projects and features, from inception to deployment and maintenance.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, support teams and other developers to understand requirements and deliver robust solutions.
• Deliver clean, efficient, readable code that adheres to best practices and coding standards.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools to augment software development workflows.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the stack, including frontend, backend, and database layers.
• Implement and maintain integrations with third‑party systems and APIs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or College Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Development, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of proven experience developing web applications with strong back‑end expertise.
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues across multiple layers of the application stack.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset with curiosity and eagerness to learn.
• Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
• General understanding of IT infrastructure and networking principles.
• Willingness to provide Tier 3 support for escalated customer issues.
