Senior Site Reliability Engineer, AI Infrastructure

About the role

The AI Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team at PointClickCare builds and operates reliable, secure AI/ML platforms that support data processing, model serving, and labeling systems. You will work hands‑on to automate, harden, and monitor cloud environments such as Databricks and Azure AI suites, enabling data scientists and engineers to focus on delivering AI‑driven value to clinicians and patients.

Key responsibilities

• Own service level objectives, error budgets, and reliability targets for cloud‑based AI platforms, ensuring full observability (metrics, logs, traces) and high‑quality alerts.
• Design, build, and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code and operational automation pipelines, emphasizing repeatability and toil reduction.
• Implement platform security controls—including network segmentation, secrets management, encryption, and data‑protection safeguards—to meet compliance requirements.
• Lead incident response, conduct blameless post‑mortems, validate backup/restore processes, and run game‑day resiliency testing.
• Mentor engineers, influence design reviews, and collaborate across teams to improve cost efficiency, capacity planning, and operational standards.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in SRE, platform engineering, or infrastructure roles supporting production cloud environments.
• Strong proficiency with observability practices (metrics, logging, distributed tracing, SLI/SLO frameworks) and on‑call incident response.
• Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), GitOps, and CI/CD pipelines for platform changes.
• Experience managing cloud services (compute, networking, storage) and AI/ML platforms such as Databricks, Azure ML, or Kubernetes‑hosted environments.
• Solid understanding of platform security concepts including network segmentation, secrets management, and encryption at rest and in transit.
