Senior Software Engineer – Platform Engineering

About the role

The Platform Engineering team builds developer‑focused products, including internal APIs, services, CI/CD frameworks, and Kubernetes‑based abstractions. As a senior engineer you will design, implement, and operate platform services that are used across the company, working in a hybrid environment that balances remote work with on‑site collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain platform services, APIs, SDKs, and internal tools used by engineering teams.
• Own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of platform services, from implementation to production operation and continuous improvement.
• Develop and optimise CI/CD workflows and developer automation for usability and efficiency.
• Apply distributed systems and backend engineering principles to create scalable, resilient services.
• Provide production ownership, including observability, debugging, and incident response.

Required profile

• Expert‑level proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js for production‑grade APIs, services, and developer‑facing UIs (React or similar) with strong automated testing practices.
• Solid fundamentals in distributed systems, API design, and backend services, with pragmatic trade‑off decision‑making.
• Hands‑on experience with observability (metrics, logging, distributed tracing, SLI/SLO) and production ownership.
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes, including custom controllers and operators.
• Proficiency designing secure, compliant CI/CD pipelines and working with IaC tools (Terraform, Pulumi) and GitOps practices.
