Senior Project Manager – R&D

About the role

Dream Photonics is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the execution of its R&D portfolio. You will partner with the Director of R&D and technical teams to bring complex photonic manufacturing projects from concept to delivery, ensuring clarity, cadence, and focus.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and run a lightweight project planning and execution framework for multiple R&D initiatives.
• Translate ambiguous technical objectives into concrete plans, milestones, owners, deliverables, risks and dependencies.
• Drive daily and weekly project cadence, track actions, follow‑up, and manage escalations.
• Coordinate resources across hardware, optics, 3D‑printing and manufacturing domains.
• Maintain transparent project status reporting and support decision‑making on priorities and trade‑offs.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex technical or hardware‑focused R&D projects.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams without formal authority.
• Comfort blending agile practices with traditional hardware project management.
• Strong analytical mindset to identify risks, dependencies and mitigation strategies.

Required skills

• Project planning and tracking tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Confluence).
• Risk and dependency management.
• Agile methodology basics.
