Senior Project Manager – Lead Complex Engineering Projects

About the role

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to drive the delivery of complex engineering and industrial projects across Canada. This role blends hands‑on project execution with strategic leadership of the Project Management Office, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of projects ranging from $500K to $10M+, applying PMO governance and best‑practice controls.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Communicate priorities, policies, and expectations to project teams and stakeholders.
• Facilitate client, contractor, and internal meetings across all project phases.
• Oversee scope, budget, schedule, quality, and performance, reporting risks, issues, and variances.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the Quality Manager and integrate QA/QC processes.
• Direct departmental planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and KPI monitoring.
• Represent the Project Management function in senior leadership discussions and cross‑functional initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering multi‑million‑dollar engineering or industrial projects.
• Strong understanding of PMO methodologies, project governance, and risk management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop project managers and cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strategic mindset with a focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
