Senior Project Manager

About the role

As a Senior Project Manager at Chandos, you will lead mid‑to‑large commercial and institutional projects from concept through to close‑out. You will drive design‑to‑tender workflows, convert projects to stipulated‑sum contracts, and ensure delivery with precision, accountability, and collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Own full‑lifecycle delivery of commercial projects typically $30M+ in scope.
• Oversee design review, constructability input, estimating, budgeting (Class D, B, Tender) and cost control.
• Manage tendering, procurement, contract administration, construction sequencing, site logistics and methodology development.
• Transition projects from open CM (CCDC 5A/5B) to fixed‑sum contracts (CCDC 2) by identifying risks and opportunities.
• Craft compelling proposals and methodologies that articulate client value.
• Implement estimating inputs, sub‑trade buy‑outs, change‑order controls and robust forecasts.
• Mentor project managers, coordinators, superintendents and support staff to develop future leaders.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors to generate repeat business.
• Embed continuous‑improvement practices, streamline processes, reinforce safety best practices and capture lessons learned.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience with a general contractor (not a developer).
• Proven ability to lead large‑scale commercial projects from inception to completion.
• Strong leadership, mentorship and stakeholder‑management skills.
