Senior Project Manager – Construction

About the role

MatchBox Consulting Group is recruiting a Senior Project Manager for a leading General Contractor in British Columbia. You will drive complex industrial, commercial and large‑scale residential projects from pre‑construction through closeout, ensuring safety, schedule adherence and budget compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead projects through all construction phases, from planning to final turnover.
• Develop and maintain schedules, budgets, forecasts and cost reports.
• Monitor performance, manage risks, opportunities and project challenges.
• Oversee financials, contracts, change orders and cost control.
• Serve as primary client and stakeholder contact, coordinating with architects, engineers and regulatory bodies.
• Collaborate with Site Superintendents, manage subcontractor procurement and performance.
• Review RFIs, shop drawings, submittals and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• 10+ years of construction project management experience with a General Contractor.
• Proven track record delivering multi‑million‑dollar industrial, commercial or large‑scale residential projects.
• Strong knowledge of project financial management, scheduling, procurement and contract administration.
• Experience with CCDC contracts, change management and project controls.
• Degree, diploma or technical education in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field (asset).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using construction management software such as Procore.
• Experience using Bluebeam or similar platforms.
