Senior Project Coordinator

About the role

Clearway Group is seeking a Senior Project Coordinator to support the planning, coordination and execution of complex heavy‑civil construction projects across the Greater Toronto Area. Reporting to a Senior Project Manager or Project Director, the role provides proactive leadership in project administration, technical coordination, cost and schedule control, and field operations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze specifications, drawings and contract documents to develop construction plans, schedules, utility coordination and material takeoffs.
• Lead project coordination activities, managing assigned scopes, priorities and deliverables while collaborating with Project Managers and Superintendents.
• Mentor and supervise Project Coordinators and junior staff, delegating tasks and reviewing work for accuracy.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with contract requirements, safety regulations and design intent.
• Administer contracts including RFIs, RFQs, shop‑drawing reviews, purchase orders, change orders and subcontract administration.
• Maintain detailed project logs, cost tracking, schedule updates and support monthly cost reports and cash‑flow forecasts.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education or college diploma (civil engineering preferred).
• 5+ years progressive experience in civil or heavy construction, coordinating complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration, construction sequencing, cost controls and scheduling principles.
• Valid Ontario driver’s licence and legal eligibility to work in Canada.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
