Senior Mine Manager

About the role

The company is a leading underground mining operation seeking a Senior Mine Manager to join the executive leadership team. Reporting to the General Manager, you will act as the operational second‑in‑command, driving production performance and shaping the future of a large‑scale underground site.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across all underground mining activities.
• Ensure safe execution of short‑ and long‑term mine plans.
• Coach, mentor and develop technical and operational leaders.
• Partner with Technical Services to optimise mine performance.
• Drive productivity, efficiency and cost‑performance improvements.
• Foster a high‑performance culture based on accountability and continuous improvement.
• Maintain compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Support budgeting, operational planning and achievement of business objectives.
• Act as deputy to the General Manager when required.

Required profile

• University qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of underground mining leadership experience.
• Proven track record as a Mine Manager, Operations Manager or similar senior role.
• Experience in seismic environments and complex underground mining methods.
• Ability to coach and challenge senior Technical Services professionals.
• Strong French language capability (or solid working foundation).
