Maintenance Technologist

About the role

3M is looking for a Maintenance Technologist to join its Brockville, ON manufacturing site. You will work in a dynamic team, performing preventive, corrective and diagnostic maintenance on a variety of innovative production equipment while contributing to continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective and diagnostic maintenance on manufacturing machines.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests and help develop contingency plans.
• Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
• Develop, modify and troubleshoot PLC programs to optimise production processes.
• Integrate PLCs with other automation systems and ensure seamless communication.
• Execute software updates and backups for PLCs and related control systems.
• Create and maintain documentation for PLC programs, system configurations and changes.

Required profile

• Canadian citizen or permanent resident with a valid security clearance under the Controlled Goods Registration program.
• Ability to provide five‑year residential and employment history.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.
