Senior Manager, Talent Management

About the role

British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) is seeking a Senior Manager, Talent Management to lead its Talent Management Center of Excellence. Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, this leader will shape and execute talent strategies that enable continuous learning, succession planning, performance management, and internal mobility across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver enterprise‑wide frameworks for learning, development, and career mobility.
• Partner with HR COEs and business leaders to align talent initiatives with BCI’s strategic goals.
• Drive leader and manager development programs and oversee succession planning at all organizational levels.
• Identify top talent with transferable skills and create agile, flexible programs to meet diverse departmental needs.
• Collaborate across BCI locations (Victoria, Vancouver, New York, London, Mumbai) to ensure consistent talent practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading talent management or HR COE functions in a large, complex organization.
• Comfort with ambiguity and ability to shape new capabilities while sustaining existing programs.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and drive cultural change.
