Senior Manager, National Field Sales

About the role

The Senior Manager, National Field Sales will lead the retail field sales coverage for a fast‑growing CPG organization in the Food & Beverage sector. Reporting directly to the CEO, this hands‑on leader will shape sales strategy, drive in‑store excellence and manage distribution across Canada.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the national distribution and last‑mile strategy with corporate DSD and distributor partners.
• Coach, train and lead a top DSD sales team to achieve in‑store performance, team development and retention.
• Manage relationships with master distributors, full‑line distributors and independent partners.
• Contribute to the company’s strategic planning as a member of the senior management team.
• Set high standards for executional excellence and ensure daily retail wins in a competitive category.
• Define team goals, monitor KPIs and report on performance against budgets.
• Analyze data to uncover growth opportunities and optimize route planning, fleet and inventory management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 7 years of field sales, route sales or merchandising leadership in CPG/food.
• Proven people‑management experience leading high‑performing sales teams.
• Track record of designing and deploying in‑store sales processes.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in insight‑driven selling.

Required skills

• MS Office proficiency.
• Experience with DSD route‑management software.
• Familiarity with DSD selling hardware and software.
• Fleet management expertise.
