Senior Manager, Infrastructure Tax

About the role

Anthropic is investing heavily in compute infrastructure to support its AI safety mission. The Senior Manager, Infrastructure Tax will work closely with the Infrastructure Tax Lead to execute the tax strategy for large‑scale infrastructure deals, ensuring compliance and optimal after‑tax economics.

Key responsibilities

• Run intake for individual infrastructure transactions, gathering site specs, counterparty structure, commercial terms and timing.
• Analyze service vs. lease characterization, entity structure and contract tax provisions, escalating complex judgments to the Infra Tax Lead.
• Build and maintain after‑tax deal economics models, including bonus depreciation, NOL utilization and scenario analysis.
• Provide tax inputs for technical accounting on lease‑versus‑purchase treatment, consolidation, capitalization policy and book‑tax differences.
• Execute datacenter entity structures across jurisdictions: formation, documentation, withholding, permanent establishment analysis and debt‑vs‑equity characterization.
• Support transfer pricing for the infrastructure footprint, maintaining intercompany pricing documentation and benchmarking.
• Prepare quarterly inputs for the tax provision team on new structures and deferred tax positions.
• Draft and keep up‑to‑date infrastructure tax playbooks, checklists and internal trackers.

Required profile

• Significant experience supporting entity structures across multiple jurisdictions, including contemporaneous documentation and coordination with legal, accounting and tax teams.
• Proven ability to manage end‑to‑end tax workstreams for large capital projects.
• Strong analytical skills with experience building tax‑impact models and scenario analyses.
