Senior Manager – Direct Services (Coaching & Labour Relations)

About the role

WISH Drop‑In Centre Society is seeking a Senior Manager, Direct Services to coach and develop five Program Managers who deliver frontline harm‑reduction and trauma‑informed services. The role offers autonomy to design coaching frameworks, influence HR strategy and step in on operations when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Provide structured 1:1 coaching to five Program Managers, creating individualized development plans.
• Guide managers through collective‑agreement provisions, progressive discipline and grievance processes, in partnership with People & Culture.
• Represent management in labour‑relations matters affecting direct services.
• Participate in the Senior Leadership Team to shape organization‑wide strategy and HR practices.
• Assist with operational duties, budgeting and critical‑incident response as required.

Required profile

• Demonstrated track record of developing managers or supervisors.
• Experience working in a unionized environment, including collective‑agreement administration.
• Strong understanding of foundational HR principles and labour‑relations.
• Comfortable facilitating tough conversations while maintaining trust.
• Commitment to sex‑workers’ rights within an intersectional, feminist, decolonial and anti‑racist framework.

Required skills

• Administration of collective agreements, progressive discipline and grievance handling.
• Coaching and leadership development techniques.
• Knowledge of HR and labour‑relations best practices.

What we offer

• Salary $88,000‑$91,000 CAD per year, commensurate with experience.
• 4 weeks paid vacation, 100 wellness hours.
