Learning & Development Specialist

About the role
The Learning & Development Specialist supports employee learning, knowledge management, technology adoption and continuous improvement initiatives across the firm.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation programs for lawyers and business services employees.
- Assess learning and development needs and develop practical training solutions.
- Develop and maintain training materials, manuals, videos and self‑service resources.
- Deliver engaging training sessions on firm technologies, processes and systems.
- Support ongoing Legal Support Services training, onboarding and skills development.
- Collaborate with Library and Digital Content Services to manage knowledge resources.
- Maintain standard operating procedures, process documentation and knowledge articles.
- Monitor usage and quality of learning resources and recommend improvements.
- Identify gaps in documentation and workflows and implement standardized approaches.
- Support firm‑wide process improvement projects requiring learning or change‑management support.
Required profile
- 3–5 years of experience in learning and development, training or knowledge management, preferably in a professional environment.
- Proven ability to design and deliver training programs and create clear learning materials.
- Strong written and verbal communication with excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
- Ability to translate complex information into practical resources.
- Effective stakeholder management and relationship‑building across legal and business teams.
- Organizational and project‑management skills with attention to detail.
- Analytical problem‑solving and proactive, independent work style.
Required skills
- Microsoft 365 suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
- SharePoint administration and intranet site management.
- Knowledge‑management platforms and digital learning tools.
- Familiarity with iManage and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
