Senior Manager, Demand Planning

About the role

Saputo is hiring a Senior Manager, Demand Planning for its Canadian Division. The role leads the demand planning function so the organization can anticipate and respond to changing market dynamics, balancing customer needs, commercial opportunities, operational constraints and financial commitments. It works closely with Sales, Operations, Finance and Supply Planning to improve forecast accuracy and support informed business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a high-performing team through coaching, talent management, succession planning and capability building.
• Lead the end-to-end demand planning process with robust forecasting governance and a single, aligned view of demand.
• Drive continuous improvements in forecast accuracy, bias reduction and decision-making, and strengthen reporting and root-cause analysis.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Supply Planning to integrate market insights into demand plans, annual operating plans and longer-term outlooks.
• Integrate promotions, customer initiatives, innovation launches and external demand signals into planning, and develop scenarios and mitigation plans.
• Lead the monthly Demand Review within the IBP framework and align demand plans with financial commitments and strategic priorities.
• Lead the adoption of best practices and digital planning capabilities such as advanced analytics and AI-enabled forecasting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, economics or a related field, or equivalent experience; Master's degree is an asset.
• 5+ years in demand planning, S&OP, IBP or operations planning, preferably in CPG, food manufacturing or dairy, with career progression.
• Proven experience leading teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders in a complex, multi-site environment.
• Experience working with senior leaders, Sales and Finance.
• Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Power BI.
• Experience with advanced planning systems (SAP APO, Kinaxis) is an asset.

• Salary of $106,870 to $140,270, depending on experience, education, skills and training.
