Senior Manager Cyber Cloud Security and AI

About the role

PwC is hiring a Senior Manager Cyber Cloud Security and AI in Toronto for its Advisory practice. The role covers project management and delivery of AI security governance, processes and technology, from assessment and strategy through design, implementation and optimization, and also business development and stakeholder engagement. It follows the departure of a valued team member.

Key responsibilities

• Manage client engagements: project planning, budget and resource management, and completion of work streams
• Business development: lead generation, pre-sales presentations, technical demos, bid management, proposal writing and contract management
• Develop and implement a cybersecurity strategy focused on AI security and data protection, integrating security into AI models and data usage
• Stay ahead of AI security trends, contribute to thought leadership and engage with industry consortia and research organizations
• Conduct risk assessments of AI systems and data management, and design plans to address AI-related cybersecurity risks
• Establish policies and standards for AI security and data operations, ensuring compliance with regulations such as GDPR and CCPA
• Lead and mentor a team of cybersecurity professionals and foster a security-minded culture
• Monitor emerging AI threats, advise on incident response and remediation, and liaise with senior leadership, clients and partners

Required profile

• Experience across cybersecurity, data science, AI or related disciplines such as technology risk
• Relevant degree in Computer Science or another applicable degree
• Proven ability to write and present security assessment reports and proposals, and to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations with key stakeholders, and strong problem-solving, critical thinking and interpersonal skills

Required skills

• Familiarity with AI tools, frameworks and programming languages such as Python, R, TensorFlow and PyTorch
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and standards such as NIST AI Risk Management Framework, ISO/IEC 42001 and ISO/IEC 23894

The salary range is $168,000 - $218,000, based on skills, experience, qualifications and location. Eligible employees may also take part in variable incentive pay programs. The position is open to candidates who need work visa sponsorship.
