Senior Manager, Applications

About the role

The Senior Manager, Applications reports to the Chief Information Officer and leads the strategy, delivery, and operational management of HEABC’s enterprise applications and middleware. This senior position ensures that all business applications are reliable, secure, scalable, and aligned with the organization’s goals while supporting the health‑care system in British Columbia.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to IMIT staff responsible for core IT systems, databases, and enterprise applications.
• Oversee system administration of applications, websites, and relational database management systems.
• Lead the creation and maintenance of technical documentation and training materials.
• Partner with business leaders to translate organizational needs into technology solutions and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Required profile

• University degree in a related field.
• Extensive experience managing enterprise applications and middleware.
• Proven leadership experience in an IT environment, preferably within the health or public sector.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model and commute to the Vancouver office.
