Senior Logistics Coordinator – Project Delivery

About the role

The Senior Logistics Coordinator will drive the execution of the Logistics Execution Plan for large‑scale projects, ensuring that all materials reach the site on schedule and in compliance with regulatory requirements. This position works within the Project Delivery Group, collaborating with vendors, freight forwarders, and internal teams to maintain full shipment visibility.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the Logistics Execution Plan across purchasing, expediting, vendor quality, and site material interfaces.
• Interpret and enforce project Incoterms, ensuring suppliers and logistics providers comply.
• Maintain the freight journal, provide shipment forecasts, status updates, and visibility to the project team.
• Activate shipments by obtaining release information and coordinating with appropriate logistics channels.
• Ensure freight forwarders and 3PL providers receive complete export and shipping documentation and issue correct shipping instructions.
• Review vendor logistics data for weight, dimensions, hazardous classification, export/import requirements, and packaging compliance.
• Coordinate collection, transport, tracking, tracing, and reporting of cargo from origin to final destination.
• Support import/export clearance, consolidation, storage, preservation, and delivery readiness.
• Interface with site logistics and materials teams for three‑month look‑ahead planning and specialized handling.
• Supervise junior logistics personnel and assist the Logistics Lead with forecasting and issue management.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in project logistics within mining, energy, or infrastructure sectors.
• Proven ability to manage multimodal shipments and maintain compliance with international trade regulations.
• Strong analytical skills for freight forecasting and shipment visibility.
• Leadership experience supervising junior staff and providing functional guidance.
