Senior Java Full Stack Developer

About the role

Miratech, a global IT services and consulting company, is looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer in Toronto to design, build and maintain both front-end interfaces and back-end systems, including APIs, microservices, databases and cloud deployments. The role suits a hands-on engineer comfortable on both sides of the stack, taking part in solution design as well as delivery. It is a hybrid position with 2 days per week in a downtown Toronto office.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy and support full-stack applications across front-end and back-end environments.
• Build responsive, accessible and user-friendly interfaces with React and modern web practices.
• Develop and maintain back-end services, APIs and business logic with Java, Spring Boot, Node.js and Python.
• Design microservices-based architectures and secure RESTful APIs and service integrations.
• Manage relational databases and SQL queries, and support cloud-native deployment on AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, release processes and deployment automation.
• Ensure code quality through peer reviews, automated testing and best practices, and troubleshoot issues across the stack.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and collaborate with product, architecture, QA, DevOps and business stakeholders.

Required profile

• 7+ years of software development experience, including significant full-stack work.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Nice to have: TypeScript, Docker, Kubernetes, event-driven architecture, API gateways, observability tools, Agile delivery, regulated industries, mentoring and technical leadership experience.
