Senior Director, Corporate Finance

About the role

CARE Canada, a women's rights organization headquartered in Ottawa, is recruiting a Senior Director, Corporate Finance through its partner Odgers. The role is remote within Canada and sits in the Senior Leadership Team, reporting to the Chief Operations Officer. It covers the sound financial management of the organization and the delivery of efficient, value-added, cost-effective services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team responsible for overall financial operations, including financial planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, auditing and financial reporting.
• Provide strategic direction and hands-on leadership across full-cycle accounting operations, treasury, budgeting, financial planning and analysis, forecasting and financial reporting in complex environments.
• Give insightful financial analysis and forward-looking advice to senior leadership on resource allocation, risk identification and organizational planning.
• Collaborate across departments and with external partners such as auditors, government bodies and international counterparts.

Required profile

• Seasoned finance leader, ideally with a CPA designation.
• Minimum of five years' leadership experience, with a proven track record of building a culture of financial excellence and continuous improvement.
• Strong team leadership and ability to work with auditors, government bodies and international partners.
