British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) is seeking a Senior Data & Analytics Engineer to join its Data & Analytics team in Victoria, BC. The role blends advanced data engineering with deep financial data expertise, allowing you to design and deliver end‑to‑end analytical solutions that drive business impact.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines on Databricks.
• Create interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI.
• Develop modern AI agents and agentic workflows leveraging Databricks Genie and Claude tools.
• Partner with business subject‑matter experts to translate requirements into data solutions.
• Own the full lifecycle of complex analytical projects, from discovery through delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced proficiency with Databricks, SQL, Python, and Power BI.
• Strong data modelling, architecture, and engineering skills.
• Demonstrated financial data literacy and experience handling data at institutional scale.
