Senior Customer Service Representative (Clerk R15)

About the role

The Senior Customer Service Representative (SCSR) joins Service BC’s dedicated team to deliver accessible, responsive, and people‑centered services to British Columbians and businesses. Working on‑site in Dawson Creek, you will be the frontline contact, providing in‑person and telephone assistance across a broad range of programs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality counter service and telephone support to citizens and businesses.
• Handle a high volume of interactions in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
• Apply conflict‑management techniques to de‑escalate emotionally charged situations.
• Maintain accurate records using digital tools and ensure information is searchable and well‑managed.
• Uphold Service BC’s mission, values, and “Service with Heart” approach in every interaction.

Required profile

• Grade 12 graduation or equivalent (BCAGD, GED, etc.).
• Clerical/administrative education or training.
• Experience supervising teams, leading projects, or delivering programs.
• Proven ability to deliver service excellence in high‑volume, fast‑paced settings.
• Experience providing inclusive service to diverse clientele, including vulnerable populations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office and other computer applications.
• Strong word‑processing and data‑entry capabilities.
• Ability to use digital tools for information search and record management.
