Senior Communications Specialist – Impact Storytelling & Recognition

About the role

The Azrieli Foundation is seeking a senior communications professional to connect its grant portfolio with strategic storytelling and recognition initiatives, ensuring consistent delivery of impact narratives across Canada and internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain visibility of communications and recognition activities across the grants portfolio.
• Monitor the grant pipeline to identify upcoming storytelling opportunities and develop content with the Grants team.
• Develop and maintain communications and recognition calendars for grant activities.
• Coordinate major granting communication milestones, events, announcements and recognition activities.
• Advise Grants Teams on recognition and communications deliverables, review grant agreements for branding requirements and ensure compliance.
• Maintain a centralized repository of grant‑related communications materials and templates.
• Serve as primary communications contact for grantees and facilitate access to design, translation, photography, videography and other specialist services.
• Track and monitor recognition deliverables tied to high‑value grants such as naming rights, signage, website inclusion and press releases.

Required profile

• Bilingual in English and French.
• 5+ years of experience in communications, stakeholder engagement, grants administration or philanthropy.
• Strong project‑management and coordination skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent writing, editing and ability to interpret policies and agreements.

Required skills

• Fluxx grants management platform.
• Finn AI‑enabled tool for preparing grant summaries and briefing materials.
• Experience with databases, content‑management or other grants‑management systems.
