Senior Bookkeeper

About the role

MdGB Capital Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join its small, collaborative team in Victoria, BC. This hybrid position offers full‑cycle bookkeeping across multiple entities, allowing you to work closely with the Finance Director and business principals while enjoying a balanced work‑life environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform full‑cycle bookkeeping for several companies
• Complete bank and credit‑card reconciliations
• Prepare and file GST returns
• Support month‑end close, including journal entries
• Manage accounts payable and cheque runs
• Execute intercompany reconciliations and financial administration
• Assist with real‑estate and operating‑business accounting tasks
• Contribute to reporting, budgeting support, and year‑end preparation

Required profile

• Several years of full‑cycle bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in an industry setting
• Experience in real‑estate, retail, or operating businesses is an asset
• Background working in a multi‑entity environment is a plus
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Professional, collaborative, and adaptable attitude with solid communication skills

Required skills

• QuickBooks Online (firm requirement)
• Microsoft Office suite
• Advanced Excel proficiency
