Senior Associate, IT Application Support Analyst (Core Banking)

About the role

MUFG Investor Services, a division of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, is hiring a Senior Associate, IT Application Support Analyst (Core Banking) in Toronto on a full-time basis with a hybrid arrangement. The role supports banking applications such as Flexcube, SWIFT, the MUFG Automated Payment System, Global Payment System, MUFG Pay Stream and MUFG FX, and links business teams with the IT solutions group.

Key responsibilities

• Support core banking applications (Flexcube, FX Market Rates, Appian workflows, SWIFT, payment systems) as part of a global support team.
• Provide Level 2 incident and problem management support, resolving technical and user issues during product migration and day-to-day operations, working with vendors and internal teams.
• Coordinate with vendors and support teams on customizations, patch sets and fixes.
• Document IT user procedures in Confluence around change management and support user training.
• Support project managers on core banking initiatives and coordinate with vendors on enhancements.
• Take part in new platform releases and testing, and coordinate development to increase automation.
• Coordinate between internal IT functions and respond to regulator and auditor information requests.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in an IT discipline preferred.
• 5+ years in a team providing analytical, technical support and administration of business banking applications.
• Ideal candidate has experience with banking solutions.

Required skills

• Understanding of SWIFT products and messaging standards, ISO 20022, SQL Server, PL/SQL, Java and .NET.
• Working knowledge of application architecture and application/database infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and ITIL standards.
• AWS Cloud Practitioner certificate.
