About the role
BKL Consultants Ltd. is seeking a Senior Architectural Acoustics Consultant to lead high‑profile projects that shape the acoustical landscape of Western Canada. Based in Burnaby, you will work with a collaborative team to deliver innovative acoustic solutions for healthcare, transportation, commercial and residential sectors.
Key responsibilities
- Direct project lifecycles from proposal to data analysis, reporting and client management.
- Lead and mentor a team of acoustical consultants while coordinating with leadership and other professionals.
- Represent BKL at meetings and public forums, advocating for acoustics in private and public sectors.
- Produce technical reports, publish research and deliver seminars to influence regional acoustical practices.
- Provide world‑class technical expertise and sales support to current and prospective clients.
Required profile
- Minimum 15 years of consulting experience in architectural and building acoustics, including environmental noise and vibration assessment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Acoustics, Audio Technology or a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with professionalism and diplomacy.
- Strong technical expertise and ability to engage stakeholders to influence policy and practice.

- Vibration measurement equipment and methodologies.
- QA/QC procedures in a consulting environment.

- Annual salary $120,000–$150,000 with overtime paid at time‑and‑a‑half.
