Senior Analyst / Associate – Corporate FP&A

About the role

British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) is seeking a Senior Analyst or Associate to join its Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis team. The role sits at the intersection of finance and strategy, supporting multiple internal departments through budgeting, forecasting, monthly reporting, and bespoke analysis that informs senior‑level decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with 13 internal departments to drive annual budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Prepare and deliver branch reporting deliverables for senior management, the audit committee, the board of directors and external clients.
• Identify trends, provide actionable insights and recommend improvements to spend and budget accuracy.
• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders and act as the financial voice in cross‑functional discussions.
• Support both routine reporting cycles and ad‑hoc strategic projects.

Required profile

• Experience in a Big Four firm, pension fund, or asset‑management environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data sets into clear narratives.
