Senior Accountant – Remote (Full‑Cycle Accounting)

About the role

We are seeking a remote Senior Accountant to own full‑cycle accounting for Canadian clients of a boutique financial advisory firm. You will act as the trusted accounting partner, handling month‑end and year‑end close, AP/AR, and client‑facing responsibilities while collaborating with an on‑shore manager.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle accounting for multiple Canadian client accounts, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end close processes with accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring proper cash flow management.
• Prepare and review financial statements, tax filings, and regulatory reports.
• Identify process improvements, recommend efficiencies, and support clients in strategic decision‑making.
• Mentor junior staff and progressively take on larger, more complex client portfolios.

Required profile

• 6+ years of full‑cycle accounting experience, preferably in a major accounting firm or multinational environment.
• Strong understanding of Canadian GAAP and tax regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with high attention to detail.
• Excellent judgment and problem‑solving skills.
