Senior Accountant, Public Company Audit

About the role

Davidson & Company is looking for a Senior Accountant to join its Public Company Audit practice in Vancouver. You will work on a diverse portfolio of public‑company clients across fast‑growing industries, gaining hands‑on exposure to complex audit engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all phases of audit engagements—from planning and execution to completion—for a varied client base.
• Prepare clear, accurate audit documentation in line with firm methodology and professional standards.
• Research and resolve complex accounting and financial reporting issues, applying IFRS, US GAAP and auditing standards.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, identifying issues and delivering value‑added recommendations.
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure high‑quality audit services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or related field) with a CPA designation or CFE progress.
• 2–3 years of public‑practice audit experience with meaningful client exposure.
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS and auditing standards.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with audit tools such as CaseWare and MS Office.
