Senior Accountant – Public Company Assurance

About the role

Join the Public Company Assurance Group as a Senior Accountant, delivering audit, review and tax engagements for public‑company clients. You will lead engagement teams, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and provide innovative solutions to complex business issues.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review audit, review and tax engagements.
• Supervise and lead engagement teams, mentoring junior members.
• Verify taxes owed and prepare corporate tax returns and related compliance slips.
• Apply IFRS and, where relevant, ASPE knowledge.
• Summarize financial status through balance sheets, profit‑and‑loss statements and other reports.
• Review third‑party documents and assess audit evidence for expenses, revenues, assets and liabilities.
• Collaborate with client teams to discuss risk, materiality and deadlines.
• Participate in business development and community involvement.

Required profile

• Professional CPA designation.
• 2‑4 years of relevant public accounting experience, including at least 2 years with public‑company clients.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
