Seasonal Retail Sales Associate at Concordia BookStop

About the role

Follett is hiring seasonal retail sales associates to staff the Concordia BookStop on the Sir George campus. You will work directly with students and faculty, handling transactions, stocking merchandise, and supporting online order fulfillment during a busy academic period.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the cash register and process payments (cash, credit, or financial aid).
• Stock, organize, price merchandise, and set up in‑store displays and signage.
• Pick, pack, and process both online and in‑store orders.
• Provide friendly customer service during campus events such as graduations and sports games.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment.
• Assist with shipping, receiving, and general store tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Professional, friendly, and outgoing demeanor.
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Team‑oriented, punctual, dependable, and available for weekend shifts.
• At least 18 years old with strong communication skills in both French and English.
• Physical ability to lift 25–50 lb regularly and stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to manage workload effectively.
• Prior retail, customer service, or clerical experience is a plus.
