Seasonal Labourer – Outdoor Trails & Recreation

About the role

Cabin Operations Ltd. is seeking a seasonal, full‑time Labourer to join its outdoor recreation, environmental restoration and wildfire mitigation teams. You will work alongside carpenters, machine operators and leaders to build bridges, boardwalks, staircases and maintain trails.

Key responsibilities

• Use hand tools and machinery to construct and maintain trails, parks and related infrastructure.
• Restore and enhance natural environments through landscape planting.
• Complete daily equipment servicing checklists and report any deficiencies.
• Track inventory of tools, lumber supplies and hardware equipment.

Required profile

• Demonstrated commitment to safety.
• Experience on front‑country and back‑country trails.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Passion for outdoor activities such as biking, hiking or climbing.
• Ability to work long hours outdoors.
• Valid BC driver’s licence and legal right to work in Canada.
• Valid Level 1 First Aid certification.

Required skills

• Chainsaw operation.
• Skid‑steer operation (preferred).
• Mini‑excavator operation (preferred).
• Heavy‑equipment certification (asset).
• Use of hand and power tools.
