Scale and Transportation Clerk – Temporary (Matane)

About the role

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking a motivated Scale and Transportation Clerk for its Matane site. This temporary position runs until July 2, 2027 and supports daily operations, customer interactions, and logistics coordination in a busy metal‑recycling environment.

Key responsibilities

• Open and close daily operations, ensuring the site is ready for customers.
• Welcome customers, provide current metal prices, and guide them according to procedures.
• Answer phone calls and deliver high‑quality customer service.
• Weigh vehicles, record scale data, generate delivery tickets in RECY software, and issue payments.
• Prepare shipping documents and follow up on material shipments.
• Coordinate truck dispatches and communicate relevant information to receivers.
• Balance the cash register, produce required reports, and perform related administrative duties.

Required profile

• Strong priority‑management and organizational skills.
• Responsible, autonomous, and resourceful.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Previous experience in a similar role is an asset.
