Sales Specialist – Utility Electrical Solutions (13-Month Contract)

About the role

ABB is looking for a Sales Specialist for a 13-month fixed-term contract in the Electrification Installation Products - Utility segment. The role is hybrid and outside sales, based in Iberville, and focuses on share-of-wallet growth, profitability and customer satisfaction. You will coordinate sales activities, monitor current projects and resolve specific customer problems, while giving input on market price trends, technology evolution and new accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of the account plan and Statement of Work growth actions.
• Deploy new technology in existing ABB accounts and acquire new customers for the utility business.
• Analyse key business drivers and risks (sustainability, digital, cybersecurity) of global customers and turn them into opportunities for ABB.
• Take part in developing sales strategies, defining sales targets and monitoring competitors' activity with the account.
• Ensure ABB specifications are adopted in the competitive landscape to create demand.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in technical sales, with a track record of executing complex proposals for technical solutions.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
• Full understanding of medium and low voltage electrical systems.
• Highly skilled in building long-term relationships with engineers and other professionals, as well as C-suite executives in the electrical utility market.
• Proficiency in French is mandatory, and English is required to communicate with partners outside Quebec.
