Sales Data Analyst (Data Scientist)

About the role

Ceva Animal Health is looking for a detail-oriented, motivated data analyst to support its Commercial Business in Guelph, Ontario. The role helps organize, clean and report on data that informs decisions in marketing, finance and sales, and suits someone who enjoys working with data, solving problems and learning in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop predictive models for pricing, sales forecasting and customer segmentation, and use machine learning to find margin leakage and optimise pricing.
• Ensure data is reliable, timely and accurate, improve data collection processes and keep data consistent across systems.
• Prepare datasets for internal and external communication, monitor market developments and competitor pricing, and create dashboards and visualisations.
• Automate reporting and run monthly analyses of sales, gross margins, currency impacts, ASPs, volume, price and mix, plus volumes and net prices by channel and customer, and P&L reviews by business unit.
• Develop and implement pricing and rebate strategies, define price corridors and targets, and support implementation across the product portfolio.
• Follow corporate guidelines and procedures, including inventory cycle counting where needed, and help build automated data solutions and support new analytics IT systems.
• Broadcast procedures, engage stakeholders and support teams across marketing and sales.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, Marketing, Economics or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in a data, reporting or business support role (internships or co-ops count).
• Good organisation, attention to detail and willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities.
• Positive, collaborative attitude and interest in supporting marketing and sales teams.

Required skills

• Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, basic data analysis).
• Comfortable with large data sets and learning new tools.
• SQL, Python, R or Power BI is a plus but not required.

The position is open at the Guelph, Ontario facility. The targeted compensation range is $100,000-$110,000 per year, depending on education, skills and experience.
