Sales Commission Analyst

About the role

The Sales Commission Analyst sits at the crossroads of finance, sales operations, and analytics, ensuring that revenue‑generating teams are paid accurately and on time. You will own the end‑to‑end process of commission calculations, troubleshoot discrepancies, and translate complex compensation plans into clear, auditable formulas.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate and process commission payouts each pay cycle, identifying and fixing errors before payroll.
• Maintain and update commission plan mechanics, tiers, and accelerators in spreadsheets and systems.
• Query and reconcile data across multiple systems to validate commissionable revenue.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and RevOps to implement new or revised compensation plans.
• Respond to representative‑facing commission inquiries with clear written communication.
• Build and maintain dashboards that provide transparent, self‑service commission tracking for reps and managers.

Required profile

• 0‑2 years of experience in FP&A, sales operations, compensation analytics, or a similar analytical role.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to investigate and resolve data discrepancies.
• Excellent written communication skills for explaining numerical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Ability to take ownership of commission cycles and plan rollouts with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel spreadsheet modeling.
• Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and reconciliation.
