Retail Sales Associate

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and friendly Sales Associate to join our team at Valhalla Pure Outfitters in North Vancouver. If you have a knack for sales, a love for outdoor sports, and enjoy working in a dynamic environment, this position is perfect for you!

Key responsibilities

• Engage customers, provide product recommendations and answer inquiries about outdoor apparel and gear.
• Utilize product knowledge and sales techniques to upsell and cross‑sell merchandise.
• Maintain a clean, organized store, restock shelves, arrange displays and ensure proper labeling.
• Process transactions accurately using the point‑of‑sale system.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and deliver exceptional service.

Required profile

• Previous retail sales or customer service experience (preferred).
• Passion for outdoor sports such as hiking, camping, climbing or back‑country skiing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and computer proficiency for inventory and cash/card transactions.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to stand, bend and lift for extended periods.
