Restaurant General Manager

About the role

We are launching a premier dining destination in mid‑town Toronto and need a seasoned Restaurant General Manager to lead the operation from day one. This full‑time, on‑site role will be responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience while driving profitability and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure smooth service delivery.
• Manage budgets, P&L statements, and financial performance.
• Drive profitability through cost control and revenue optimization.
• Recruit, hire, train, and develop front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house staff.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, service, and safety compliance.
• Promote a positive customer experience and uphold brand standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in P&L management and budgeting within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Demonstrated ability to enhance customer satisfaction and deliver outstanding service.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving, and organizational abilities.
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, health and safety regulations, and best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
