Resourcing and Deployment Manager, Deals

About the role

PwC Canada is hiring a Resourcing and Deployment Manager, Deals, within its Internal Firm Services line of service (Human Capital). The role works in cross-line-of-service staffing to help the network stay agile, placing the right people on the right projects at the right time. It covers resource availability, education, planning and skills enhancement, and resource sharing, forecasting, utilization and workload balance. The position was created to ensure continuity after the departure of a valued team member.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and oversee the allocation of Client Service Staff (CSS) so that it aligns with firm priorities, business metrics and the needs of new CSS joiners and leavers
• Use continuous planning and scheduling to meet utilization targets, with a focus on staff leverage and peak-season metrics
• Gather information on staff career goals, strengths and opportunities to match staff to client engagements
• Work with resource management professionals to share best practices, improve processes, facilitate staff borrowing, lending and secondments, and take part in technology-improvement initiatives
• Build relationships within the line of service and promote resource sharing across regional counterparts
• Analyze resource management KPIs from reports and develop action plans for workload balancing, utilization improvements and capacity management

Required profile

• Solid understanding of resource management, including forecasting and strategic planning
• Ability to interpret data and turn it into actionable insights
• Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation and influence skills, with composure in high-stress situations
• Independent decision-making, problem-solving and ability to handle ambiguity and tight deadlines
• Change management experience and the ability to work with partners and staff at all levels

The salary range is $81,900 - $131,900, based on skills, experience, qualifications and location. Eligible employees may also take part in variable incentive pay programs.
