Resourcing and Deployment Manager, Assurance

About the role

PwC Canada is hiring a Resourcing and Deployment Manager for its Assurance line of service, within the Internal Firm Services unit. The role sits in Business Enablement and supports workforce management for the Assurance practice, helping the network assign the right people to the right projects at the right time. It follows the departure of a valued team member and ensures continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and oversee the allocation of Client Service Staff (CSS) so that it aligns with firm priorities, business metrics and the needs of new joiners and leavers
• Use continuous planning and scheduling to meet utilization targets, with a focus on staff leverage and peak-season metrics
• Match staff to client engagements based on their career goals, strengths and development opportunities
• Work with Resource Management (RM) professionals to share best practices, improve processes, and run staff borrowing, lending and secondments
• Coach and oversee RM specialists, and build relationships across regions to promote resource sharing
• Analyze productivity reports and business needs to create plans for workload balancing, utilization improvement and new career paths
• Review financial results monthly and recommend solutions on utilization, chargeable hours and headcount
• Develop expertise in Team Builder Staffing & Deployment, train staff on its modules, and build new tools for continuous improvement
• Ensure staff assignments comply with firm quality standards (QMSE)

Required profile

• Solid understanding of resource management, including forecasting and strategic planning
• Experience leading and coaching teams, with strategic and creative thinking
• Ability to make independent decisions, handle ambiguity and tight deadlines, and manage change
• Proven negotiation, influence and change-management experience with partners and staff at all levels

The salary range is $81,900 - $131,900, with possible variable incentive pay for eligible employees.
