About the role
Rick May Renovations and Restorations is seeking an experienced renovation carpenter to join their team in Chilliwack, BC. The role involves delivering high‑quality carpentry work across residential, commercial and industrial renovation projects.
Key responsibilities
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood, wood substitutes and lightweight steel components.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay sub‑flooring and erect walls and roof systems.
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
- Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings such as mills, hospitals and industrial plants.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of carpentry experience in renovation or construction.
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
- Physical ability to bend, crouch, kneel, handle heavy loads and work under tight deadlines.
- Accurate, reliable, punctual and a strong team player with good oral communication.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow safety protocols, including wearing steel‑toed safety boots.
