Remote SEO Strategist (Canada)

About the role

We are seeking a Remote SEO Strategist to join Brafton’s Consulting Department. The role supports Canadian clients with comprehensive SEO audits, strategy development, and technical optimization, while collaborating with internal teams and delivering clear, actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct competitive audits, proposals, and performance reports for client websites.
• Utilize SEO tools such as MarketMuse, SEMRush, and Ahrefs to assess site health, identify errors, and uncover opportunities.
• Execute technical SEO tasks including site migrations, page‑speed improvements, Core Web Vitals optimization, and AMP implementation.
• Perform keyword research, backlink analysis, and support UX/website redesign projects.
• Leverage Google Analytics and Google Search Console to monitor performance and inform strategy.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and communicate complex SEO concepts in an accessible manner.

Required profile

• 3‑5+ years of experience managing SEO programs, preferably in an agency environment.
• Proven success delivering SEO results for medium to large brands, including e‑commerce.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a passion for continuous learning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced setting.
