Remote Contract Lawyer – Legal AI Annotation

About the role

We are seeking an experienced lawyer to work remotely on a contract basis, providing expert legal analysis and annotation for artificial‑intelligence training datasets. This role offers flexible hours ranging from 10 to 40 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze, review, and annotate a wide variety of legal documents to support AI model training.
• Validate legal content for accuracy, consistency, and jurisdictional compliance.
• Identify nuances in legal language, drafting styles, and substantive issues across multiple specialties.
• Collaborate with a team of legal professionals to give feedback and improve data quality.
• Produce clear written explanations and rationales for complex legal topics.
• Offer domain‑specific insights that guide the development of AI legal tools.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (JD), LLB, or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.
• Proven expertise in one or more legal domains such as corporate, intellectual property, litigation, contract, or regulatory law.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain legal concepts concisely.
• Demonstrated track record of high‑quality legal analysis and drafting.
• Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
