Relief Youth Worker – Windsor Park & Raido House

About the role

The Relief Youth Worker supports young people aged 15‑24 living in the Raido House (15‑18) and Windsor Park (18‑24) residences in Calgary. Working under the Raido or Windsor Park Team Lead, the role focuses on helping youth develop independent living skills, access education and employment, and navigate justice‑related systems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day supervision and create a trauma‑informed, home‑like environment for residents.
• Model healthy behaviours and develop individualized plans that build independent living skills.
• Collaborate with Residential and Outreach Caseworkers to implement youth goal plans consistently.
• Respond to routine and crisis situations using restorative approaches and de‑escalation techniques.
• Facilitate recreational, educational, art‑therapy and community‑engagement activities.
• Complete required documentation such as referrals, assessments, crisis plans, case notes and letters of support.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or diploma from a recognized institution.
• Minimum two years experience supporting at‑risk individuals facing homelessness.
• Proven ability to thrive in fast‑paced environments that require creativity and problem‑solving.
