Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) – Long Term Care

About the role

RhynoCare is seeking an experienced Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to work in long‑term care facilities in St. Catharines, ON. You will be hired and onboarded as an Independent Contractor. Key responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent, and ethical nursing and personal care in accordance with CNO standards, physician orders, and resident care plans.
• Support residents’ physical, psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs, promoting dignity, autonomy, and resident choice.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges with clear communication among residents, families, and the healthcare team.
• Maintain secure administration, control, and safekeeping of all medications, including narcotics, complying with legislative requirements.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, offering leadership and guidance to PSWs and other staff.

Required profile

• Current active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work various shift lengths (8 or 12 hours) and different units as needed.
• Reliability and commitment to scheduled shifts in line with RhynoCare’s attendance policy.
