Registered Nurse (RN) – Long Term Care, St. Catharines

About the role

RhynoCare is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high‑quality, compassionate care in long‑term care facilities in St. Catharines, ON. You will be engaged as an Independent Contractor, working with a multidisciplinary team to support resident well‑being.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, competent nursing care in line with CNO standards, physician orders and resident care plans.
• Apply evidence‑informed decision‑making to meet physical, psychological, emotional, cultural and social needs of residents.
• Promote resident dignity, autonomy and choice in all interactions.
• Support admissions, transfers and discharges with clear communication and coordination.
• Securely administer, control and safeguard all medications, including narcotics, complying with legislative requirements.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, providing leadership to RPNs, PSWs and other staff.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation as required by the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies, following established protocols.
• Contribute to a culture of safety, quality improvement and continuous learning by reporting risks and incidents.

Required profile

• Current active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work 8‑ or 12‑hour shifts as required.
• Willingness to work in different units based on staffing needs.
• Reliability and commitment to scheduled shifts in line with attendance policies.
