Registered Nurse – RN Resource Team (Temporary Full‑time)

About the role

Baycrest Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Nursing Resource Team on a temporary full‑time basis. The RN will provide flexible, high‑quality geriatric care across multiple clinical programs, adapting quickly to varying unit needs and patient acuity.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive, client‑centred nursing care from admission through discharge, including medication administration and treatments within RN scope.
• Assess patient conditions, develop and evaluate nursing interventions, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to meet physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
• Serve as a clinical expert and resource, supporting staff on units where deployed and ensuring continuity of care.
• Document care accurately using Meditech and other hospital systems.

Required profile

• Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification and Level C AED certification.
• BScN preferred; previous geriatric experience is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Meditech electronic health record system.
• Competence in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with RM&R Resource Matching and Referral tools.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of $41.15‑$58.98 CAD.
• 75 hours per bi‑weekly schedule, day‑evening shifts with alternating weekends.
